Feb. 15, 2010

Well today is the day after Valentines and 5 days before I turn the BIG 3-0!!! Had a great weekend with my husband Philip and daughter Shelby. Lots of things going on right now!!!! We are in the process of having an addition built on to the house and it started in November 2009 and still is not completed!!! UGH! But on a good note, my husband did buy me and Shelby an 18 foot swimming pool, ordered new living room furniture, and bought a 40 inch flat screen for my little living room upstairs!!!!! So.... all in all Valentines Day was GREAT! I'm trying to figure out how to decorate my blog and how to put pictures on here and I always get side tracked, either by Shelby having to go potty, or Berkley(my Bichon Frise)having to go potty!!!! But I love being able to be here at home. Today we have gotten so much snow!!! I would love to get out and play in it, but I hate being cold!!! Philip can take Shelby out when he gets home.
In the past 3 days I have also made between 25-35 hair bows!!! I absolutely love making these things! I can get so carried away and loose track of time, and think Uh Oh! We missed watching Baby Sydney Show (AKA Days of Our Lives) thank goodness for DVR! Which reminds me it's on now, gotta go!!!!!

Hello!

Hi! So this is my first blog! I really don't know what I am doing, so bare with me. I started this blog to document my journey of making hair bows. I kinda started back in October 2009 when I made one for my daughter's Halloween Outfit. She wanted to be Minnie Mouse. I couldn't find a costume that I liked good enough at retail stores and online. I wanted her Minnie Costume to be different. So then I began trying to come up with something because time was running out! I ended up hand making a Minnie Mouse TuTu with a matching headband with ears and a Big Bow in the center. I was very pleased with the outfit, and we got so many compliments! I started my ribbon collection in December 2009, and boy has it grown since then!!! Ribbon is addictive! My husband decided to build me a ribbon storage shelf and helped me transform an extra bedroom into what my daughter Shelby named my "Ribbon Room." It has been so much fun and frustrating at times, but I love it! My husband thought he was gonna help me out and buy some ribbon online, so every day for like a week I was getting bags of ribbon in the mail!!!! They were all 3/8" ribbon, about 500 yards total!! So needless to say I have been doing a lot of Korkers and Clippies! I will try and get some pics up ASAP, so let me know what you think!!!! Have a great day!!!
